From a certain age, you notice an attraction to the opposite sex. Everything will begin with the first crush, butterflies in the stomach, first kisses. In the future, you will mature both physiologically and psychologically to something greater and will gain the ability to procreate. For this purpose, nature created sex.
What is sex and what are the types of sex
Sex is a close human relationship, which is aimed at the satisfaction of sexual desire and is determined by the instinct of reproduction. Sex is aimed at satisfying the physiological needs of a person and prolonging life through the onset of pregnancy. Ideally, sex should take place between two people who are united by feelings of love and in love.
The highest point of pleasure during intercourse is orgasm. Female and male orgasms differ in duration, manifestation and sensations. Orgasm for women is characterized by an involuntary contraction of the pelvic floor muscles and a feeling of complete relaxation of the body. A sign of a male orgasm is the release of sperm.
Sex is different, let’s briefly talk about its main types.
Types of sex:
vaginal sex: a man’s penis rhythmically penetrates a woman’s vagina
anal sex: a man’s penis penetrates a woman’s anus (anus)
oral sex: caressing the genitals with the tongue and lips. When a man kisses a woman’s vagina, it is called cunnilingus. When a woman caresses a man’s penis with her mouth, this process is called a blowjob
Choose and agree only to the kind of sex that you like. There is no need to sacrifice yourself to satisfy your partner.
Since vaginal sex is the most common, let’s talk about it in more detail.
Vaginal sex: what you need to know
Positions. There are many different positions for penetration of the penis into the vagina. Choose with your partner those that will bring the most pleasure to both of you. You can get acquainted with the list of positions on the Internet or in a special book called “Kamasutra”.
Lubricants. In order for penetration to happen easily and pleasantly, you must be sufficiently aroused. First, take time for kisses, touches, caresses, and only then proceed to sex. A sign of sufficient arousal of the girl is the release of mucus from the vagina, which acts as a natural lubricant for more delicate penetration of the penis. However, even a well-excited girl may not have enough mucus. Because of this, unpleasant sensations of friction and microcracks in the vagina are possible. In this case, use a lubricant. Lubricant is a gel-lubricant for moistening the genitals. Lubricants are usually suitable for everyone, but it is possible that you may have an allergic reaction to one of the components. Lubricant can be purchased at a pharmacy, health and beauty stores, a sex shop, or online.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). In addition to pleasure and benefit, sex can also bring unwanted diseases. There are a number of sexually transmitted infections that are common in both men and women. Among the most common diseases are HIV, herpes, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, gonorrhea, thrush, and others. The trouble with these infections is that the body does not develop immunity against them, and they need a new treatment every time.
There are two ways to protect yourself from STDs. The first of them is for both partners to pass tests and undergo an examination for the presence of infections. The second way is to wear a condom during sex. You should not trust the simple words that “I am healthy, why don’t you believe me?”. This is not a question of trust, but of your health. And if a person really loves, then getting tested or wearing a condom will not cause any problems for him.
We touched on the topic of condoms, so let’s talk about contraceptives in more detail.
Everything you need to know about contraception
Contraception is contraceptive methods aimed at preventing pregnancy.
The most common methods of contraception:
birth control pills
intrauterine spiral
interrupted intercourse
calendar method of planning
condom
Birth control pills are a strong hormonal drug. This tool prevents the release of the egg from the ovaries. That is, ovulation does not occur and there is practically no possibility of an egg meeting with a sperm. Pregnancy does not occur in this way. But the use of birth control pills does not exclude sexually transmitted diseases.
You have to make a decision about taking hormonal drugs together with your doctor. After all, only he can choose a drug that will suit you. Among the common consequences of taking birth control pills is the risk of developing cervical cancer, breast tenderness, menstrual cycle disorders, changes in natural sex drive, effects on the liver and kidneys, and depression.
An intrauterine device is inserted into a woman’s uterus. The spiral blocks the advancement of the egg. In addition, it creates an environment in which spermatozoa cannot penetrate the uterus, and even a fertilized egg cannot be fixed in it. Possible side effects of using the spiral are menstrual cycle disorders, inflammatory diseases of the uterus, pain in the lower abdomen and during sex.
Interrupted sexual intercourse consists in the removal of the penis from the vagina before the beginning of the release of sperm. The method is not very reliable, because a small amount of sperm can be released even before ejaculation. Also, an interrupted act is harmful to men’s health.
The calendar method of planning is based on determining fertile and infertile days. From the section Frequently asked questions about menstruation (+ link to the article), we already know with you that the most fertile days are the period of ovulation. But this method is also not reliable, because a woman can get pregnant during any day of the cycle.
The last method of contraception – the use of a condom – is the simplest and most common, so we will consider it in more detail.
What you need to know about condoms
A condom is a latex cover that is put on a man’s penis. It serves as a barrier between sperm and a woman’s uterus. Condoms also reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases.
The condom is intended for single use only. In no case do not reuse it, do not turn it upside down and do not wash it. Used a condom – throw it in the trash.
For the most part, all condoms are made of latex. But there are also other materials if you are allergic to latex.
In order not to damage the latex base of the condom, do not use any cosmetic products (creams, oils, etc.) during sex. If you need additional lubrication to soften the friction, take a lubricant.
Condoms come in several sizes. It is necessary to use a condom only of its size. To do this, it is necessary to measure the length and diameter of the penis in an excited state (erection).
Do not use several condoms at the same time. It will not create additional protection. On the contrary, there will be constant friction between the layers of latex, which may damage and tear the condom.
Do not open the condom package with your teeth, scissors or any sharp objects. Even the smallest hole will reduce the benefits of a condom to zero. The condom should be opened by hand, carefully and slowly.
Always check the expiration date and integrity of the package. An old condom may break, which does not guarantee protected intercourse.
Store the condom in a cool, dry place. Under the influence of high or low temperature, the latex breaks down, which can also cause the condom to break.
Let’s summarize: we already know what sex is and what its types are, what lubricant is and what sexually transmitted diseases are. We also discussed methods of contraception and rules for using a condom.
We have prepared a continuation of the story for you, where we talk about the experience of first sex, how to prepare for sexual intercourse and what you should pay special attention to.
